Safari Day Tour

No trip to South Africa is complete without a Safari to experience Africa’s wildlife.
A few days in a national game reserve such as the Kruger National Park or the Addo Elephant National Park is the ideal. However, if you are challenged for  time and money, then this tour is a great alternative.

There are a number of private game ranches/farms within a 2/3 hour drive from Cape  Town- and these properties are managed in a way that benefits local communities and  the environment, whilst providing unforgettable experiences to tourists.

A game reserve is generally a very large area of land owned, managed and run by the  state, with concessions within these reserves awarded to private companies such as  Sabie Sands in Kruger and Shamwari at Addo.
The reserve sustains animals where breeding and feeding occurs naturally, and numbers of animals are large.

A game ranch or farm is generally a former dairy, sheep or agricultural farm that has been re-zoned as a game farm or ranch.
Animals are purchased,  stocks added to, breeding is closely managed- and as the  numbers grow, more land is acquired. In this way, over time, the ranch progresses into a  fully-fledged game reserve.
